- Description
- The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the revision of the contract maximum order amount on the Global Media Development, Production and Dissemination Support contract supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Awarded in June 2005 as a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with an anticipated period of performance through June 2010. In June 2006, the option period was exercised for only one of the three contracts. The contract provides support for managing, coordinating and conducting media approach planning; developing prototype products; producing commercial quality media; distributing and disseminating products; and analyzing media effects. This contract also facilitates the development, production and dissemination of multi-lingual audio, video, printed and web based products in support of specific USSOCOM goals and objectives. To continue this critical support, it is necessary to increase the maximum order amount of this contract from $100M to $175M. This action is due to an accelerated pace of contract requirements in response to the expansion of USSOCOM’s operational tempo as it prosecutes the Global War On Terror. One or more competitive procurements are anticipated as future follow-ons to this contract. The contractor is MPRI, Inc., a division of L-3 Services Inc.; contract number H92222-05-D-0012. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
