- Request for Proposal number DOLJ09SA00005 for continued operation of the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center located at 901 South Campbell Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, 85719-6596, will be made available approximately October 9, 2008 by written request to agency or at the following website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. This is an unrestricted procurement. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16 and 24. The successful offeror will manage and operate a government-owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, Career Technical Training, outreach, career development, career transition services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations. The contract capacity is for 100 residential males, 95 residential females, 40 non-residential males, and 65 non-residential females for a total capacity of 300 trainee participants. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a Performance-Based Cost-Plus-Incentive Fee contract for a two-year base period from September 1, 2009 to August 31, 2011, plus three unilateral options of one year each. A Pre-proposal Conference for the procurement will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. local time on Thursday, October 16, 2008 and followed immediately by a walk-through of the facility. It is recommended that interested parties download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-proposal Conference and walk-through. All questions prior to the Pre-proposal Conference should be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. Proposals will be due no later than December 9, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. local time and will be received at: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), 90 7th Street, Suite 12-300, San Francisco, CA 94103, Attn: Sheryl Algee, Contracting Officer.
