Description
The U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT) are procuring hotel services under Solicitation HSCG84-08-Q-AA8257 which will be available on or about September 24, 2008 in FedBizOps. The service requirements are for a Continuity of Operations (hereinafter COOP) for emergency operations. The US Coast Guard requests an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (hereinafter IDIQ) that will allow us to have the “first right” of hotel rooms. At least 72 hours prior to landfall of a hurricane/severe weather or emergency, an advance team will be deployed to this location to set up for eventual ICP (hereinafter ICP) stand up. At 48 hours prior to landfall, a decision will be made to expand the operation, and more personnel will be arriving. If a storm similar to that of Hurricane Katrina hits the New Orleans area again, it will require that USCG SEC New Orleans stay for an undetermined period of time, due to the inability to return to normal operations in the New Orleans area. SEC New Orleans will be forced to reconstitute full operations from this satellite location. Parking will be needed for at least the number of rooms rented. Approximately 95 hotel rooms will be needed as soon as it is known that normal operations will be impossible in the New Orleans area. It is requested the United States Coast Guard have the “first right” to 95 rooms. The hotel shall be within 1 (one) mile of the Natchez Convention Center for the ICP. This requirement is necessary since US Coast Guard military and civilian personnel will be working long shifts throughout the day and night. It is the Coast Guard’s intent to issue an IDIQ to obtain services. This requirement will be issued using Full and Open Competition procedures. The NAICS code is 721110. The Size Standard is $6.5 million. The period of performance is anticipated for five-one year ordering periods commencing October 6, 2008. Interested vendors should respond to the solicitation by 11 a.m., September 29, 2008. All vendors will be responsible for obtaining the solicitation and any subsequent amendments from the FedBizOps. Any and all questions regarding the solicitation should be submitted, in writing, to Mrs. Brenda Bartlett at Brenda.S.Bartlett@uscg.mil. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232.33. The Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement.
