- Description
- The Department of the Army Directorate of Contracting, Fort Jackson, SC office intends to award a sole source contract to procure (2)SIDNE vehicles at Fort Jackson Army Installation. After extensive market research, the government was unable to locate a manufacturer who provids a simulator vehicle in which safety featurers included permitting instructors to safely control the drivers actions via remote control and allow simulated impaired driving circumstances while the instructor mantained control. The contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and other than full and open competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date of the contract is 20 September 2008. This notice is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
