- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation, a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. Solicitation Number I2680080207 is issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Contractor to furnish and deliver: 24" Long Blue Label #1, Mediums Premium Grade, Certi-Last hand split western red cedar shakes, clear heartwood 100% edge grain, no defects as graded by the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau, 7-1/2" exposure. The Certi-Last label identifies red cedar shakes which have been impregnated wood preservatives to the standards of the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (AWPA C34-97). Quantity is 70 Square at $__________ Per Square Price, for a total price of $____________________. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-26. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 423310. The Solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside, Size Standard 100 Employees. Delivery of all materials is required by October 23, 2008. The Contractor shall deliver to: Cradle of Forestry, 11250 Pisgah Highway (State Route 276), Pisgah Forest, North Carolina 28768. Award of any contract resulting from this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation will be based on best value to the Government, cost or price and other factors considered. The Government reserves the right to make award without further discussion. Bids shall confirm registration in Contractor Central Registry www.ccr.gov, provide a Dunn and Bradstreet Number, pricing for shingles, a separate price for delivery, completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items and originally signed copy of Standard Form 1449 downloadable through http://acquisition.gov/comp/far/loadmaine.html, Standard Forms, SF1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items. On the Standard Form 1449, the Offeror shall guarantee that pricing is good for 60 days after the closing date for receipt of proposals. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract on or before October 8 2008.
