- The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Shavlik, 2665 Long Lake Road, Suite 400 Roseville, MN 55113 to provide a quantity of 2000 Shavlik HF Net check PRO Patching Software Technical Support Services Renewal (Standard) Protect 6.1 Workstation Edition. Part number SKTS-STD1-REN. The period of performance is to be 01 October 2008 through 30 September 2009. Currently the Air Force Research Laboratory has been using the St. Bernard Update Expert and is in need of the current update. This product has been acquired by Shavlik and renamed to HF Net Check Pro. Shavlik is the only distributor of the Update Expert and they are not permitting any of their partners to migrate Update Expert customers to the Shavlik HF Net Check Pro. Though this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, information received within four (4) days after the publication of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 511210. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
