- TWO AXIS ROTARY POSITIONING STAGE: The solicitation number is FA8601-08-T-0076. This is a SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. The proposed contract is for the purchase of One (1) Aerotech AMG-100LP Two Axis Rotary Positioning Stage with required software, controllers, and cables. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Aerotech, Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA. Aerotech is considered to be a sole source based on the fact that their equipment meets technical requirements that include pointing accuracy better than 100 microadians, greater than 90 mm clear aperture, rotation speeds of > 30 deg/sec, all available in a low profile design. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and solicitation documents are not available; however, any quotation received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
