- Description
- The National Park Service has issued a Prospectus for the solicitation of proposals to to provide hostel overnight accommodations and related services at Fort Mason and Fort Barry areas within Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the National Park Service will award the Concession Contract. The existing Concession Permits between the National Park Service and the existing Concessioner expire on December 31, 2008, or until such time as a new Concession Contract is awarded, whichever occurs first. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is not a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The length of the new Contract will be for ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the Concession Program Manager, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, CA 94607 no later than seventy-five (75) days from September 18, 2008 in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the new Contract. The Prospectus has been issued on September 18, 2008, for a 75-day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due on December 2, 2008, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). The Prospectus will be available on the National Park Service website at http://www.concessions.nps.gov/Prospectus.cfm. Hard copies are available upon request. There is a printing cost recovery charge for each hard copy of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
