Description
The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), University Drive C Division, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Micropace EP, Inc. Suite K, Building 3, 1582 Parkway Loop, Tustin, CA 92780 for Stimlab touch cardiac diagnostic system laboratory systems (110V) MP3140US, comprising of: StimLab Stimulus Generator Unit, (1) Central touch screen control station, (1) central touch screen control station, (1) computer and accessory IT cabinet, (1) Remote bedside touch screen controller with integrated one-connector cabling, (1) four channel multiplexer system included options: GCX remote station Roll Stand, MP3183, Extension stimulus cable MP3070 and necessary data cables for split installation of Stimulus Generator Unit under the bed according to customer preference. Install and commissioning by Micropace field engineer, but exclusive of any required structural alterations or installation of permanent built-in cabling, three (3) days on site training by Micropace Application Specialist on contiguous or separate days of customer's choosing in the first 12 months of installation. The StimLab delivers the flexibility and automation of a software based stimulator, with the rapid reliable usability of older hardware devices. StimLab System includes a full remote bedside touch screen controller for verification and control of stimulation by the physician without breaking scrub. The remote controller is hot-connectable by a single integrated cable/connector and may be mounted on a roll stand for easy deployment or stowage, on the bed rail or on a suspension arm via standard VESA mountings. Advantages of StimLab include verification of stimulation by physician, aid to communication with technician, training flexible staffing, catering for physician preferences. StimLab's intuitive interface will suit inexperienced staff after only a few minutes training, while powerful advanced features are available for the experienced technician. StimLab features the advanced digital pacing technology of Micropace's industry standard EPS320 Stimulator, including Balanced Charge pacing, to preserve pacing electrode IECG morphology in VT entrainment and advanced multi-site pacing control, uique user feedback features including measured impedance, catheter fault and graphical control of QSR detection. Two levels of backup manual pacing. Pacing Features: Up to 6 extra stimuli, balanced charge pacing technology, fibrillation protocol (S1=30MS), AICD Style automatic ATP protocol, Advanced multi-site pacing controls, External or catheter-tip IECG sensing, mains and backup battery operation. Firms who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide an alternate system which will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contracting Officer, by e-mail at cassandra.craven@va.gov. (412) 365-5437 no later than 4:00pm EST September 22, 2008. Such notification must include a complete description of proposed equipment including a narrative and specifications, and must demonstrate that it meets or exceeds the capabilities described above. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the contracting officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with the sole source negotiations. This notice is not a request for competitive proposal.
