The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to procure Lead Abatement Services. This notice is for certified 8(a) contractors able to provide Lead Abatement and Maintenance Services for three (3) sites within the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area, in accordance with Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act, 5 USC 637(a) and in accordance with FAR Subpart 19.8. The performance period is 1-year base period plus four (4) one-year option periods, if exercised. The NAICS code is 562 - Waste Management and Remediation Services/562910 - Remediation Services and the small business size standard is $13 million. This requirement is a 100% 8(a) small business set aside competed requirement. Offerors other than 8(a) firms will not be considered. Contractor personnel proposed to work under this contract shall be U.S. citizens (green cards not accepted) and non-felons. Interested parties must participate in a MANDATORY site visit to be scheduled on October 21, 2008. To participate, eligible firms must be registered as an 8(a) small business in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Firms interested in attending the site visit must (1) submit proof of CCR Registration, i.e. provide Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), (2) complete a non-disclosure agreement (Agreement) for individual(s) to attend the site visit, and (3) complete the contractor access form. Eligible firms shall forward (1) their DUNS, (2) the completed Agreement and (3) the completed access form for each person attending the site visit to the Procurement Division (PRO), Attn: Danielle Donaldson via e-mail Danielle.Donaldson@usss.dhs.gov or fax 202-406-6801 no later than October 16, 2008 at 11:00am (EDT). Please call (202) 406-6812 to confirm receipt by PRO if no response is received within one hour of email transmittal. Upon receipt of all three items, PRO will forward information pertaining to the site visit (location, time, etc.) to the eligible firm(s) and the Solicitation package (including the Statement of Work). To participate in the mandatory site visit, each individual must complete a contractor access form; individuals who have not completed an Agreement prior to the site visit will not be allowed access. Firms are responsible for all costs associated with the site visit.
