- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to issue a sole source procurement toMizuho Orthopedic Systems Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain the Mizuho OSI Allegro Mobile Imaging Table which is a light weight totally radiolucent vascular operating table. This carbon fiber table top with extended viewing area has a swivel mount hand pendant which can be placed in the swivel mount on the side rail, on an auxiliary clamp in a horizontal position or hung vertically. It provides a LED indicator that informs the operator of the status of the table floor locks, the battery life and whether the table is level or not allowing the surgeon full control of table movement. It has a 450 lb. patient capacity and weighs 980 lbs. The table top height range is 30-40 inches and is 86 inches long. It also includes a total radiolucent AV fistula board and radiolucent single arm boards. It is the belief of the Government that there is currently only one responsible source capable of providing this equipment to satisfy the agency requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification, accompanied by supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements, to the contracting officer within five (5) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. All responses must be in writing via e-mail to Cheryl.Weidner@med.va.gov or faxed to 412-365-5451. If no responses are received, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System will proceed with the sole source procurement from Mizuho Orthopedic Systems Inc.
