- UPDATE (18 Sep 08): Award was made to McDaniel's Construction inthe amount of $3,015,963.UPDATE (19 Aug 08): Public Bid Opening was held 15 Aug 08 @ 2:00 PM. The apparent low is Meyer Contracting Inc. In the process of bid verification.UPDATE (12 Aug 08): Amendment 3 (FA8601-08-B-0005-0003) incorporating the revised bid pricing structure mentioned below has been posted. The conformed solicitation for bid submission (FA8601-08-B-0005 (Conformed Solicitation)) has been posted. This document is to be used when submitting a bid as it contains all the changes made to date. The updated wage decision has also been posted. UPDATE (8 Aug 08): A base bid price (to include the 130 ft of micro tunneling) and an alternate bid price for the project is required to show the price difference of using an alternate method to place piping under Skeel Ave in lieu of the 130 ft of micro tunneling. A formal amendment detailing this will be issued ASAP. This update is being sent in advance so that contractors can begin to create their pricing. (18 Jun 08)SYNOPSIS-Project Number 040410: Replace 24 Sanitary Force Main, Area A/C Solicitation Number FA8601-08-B-0005. The scope of this project consists of furnishing all materials and performing all labor required to replace 13,346 ft of 24 inch force main from Bldg 117, the main lift station for Areas A and C, to Huffman Dam Road. The new line runs parallel to the existing 24 inch force main. The new main will connect to the smaller 8 inch force main from Lift Station 1440 (which serves the southwestern portion of Area A), and the other smaller 6 inch force main form Lift Station Bldg 7000 (which serves the Woodland Hills housing area). The estimated price range is between $1M and $5M.The NAICS Code is 237110. The size standard is $31M.This is a RESTRICTED procurement in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988, Public Law 100-656 (15 U.S.C. 644 note). This acquisition is restricted to 8(a) small business concerns registered in SBA Region V (OH, IN, MN, MI, WI, IL). In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of solicitations issued after 31 May 1998. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov, or telephone at 1-888-CCR-2423. Every solicitation issued after 31 May 1998 must include the clause at DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONCERNS: Micro-tunneling under Skeel Ave. NOTES:(1) The solicitation will be available on the website on or about 15 July 08, at https://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil or www.fbo.gov. The specifications and drawings will be posted along with the synopsis. Documents posted prior to solicitation release are for informational purposes only.(2) Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be provided. However, you may download and print the file from the website.(3) There is no fee for this solicitation.(4) A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program, and F.W. Dodge Division in Dayton, OH.(5) A registration page will be attached to the website. You are not required to register. However, when you register you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addendums that may be issued to the solicitation.
