- This is a Market Survey to identify potential sources to manufacture and deliver the electro mechanical-spinning mass technology CN-1552( )A and CN-1564( )A Rate Gyroscopes (gyros) that are currently used in the Army UH-60A-L Black Hawk Helicopters. The current known supplier for the CN-1552-A, NSN 6615-01-110-1083, and CN-1552A-A, NSN 6615-01-213-9126, and CN-1564-A, NSN 6615-01-110-1082, and CN-1564B-A, NSN 6615-01-213-9127 gyros is Atlantic Inertial Systems Inc, Cheshire, CT. The Army is interested in any other suppliers who can deliver at a monthly rate of 80 units. The Government intends to award a 5 year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. This will potentially be the final acquisition of spinning mass rate gyroscopes of this type. The Army is pursuing the use of newer technology rate gyroscopes and does not intend to procure spinning mass gyros after the completion of this contract. Requirements for consideration for this contractual effort are as follows. Sources must obtain Airworthiness Certification approval per Army Regulation 72-60 by the approval authority of AMCOM Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED), AMSRD-AMR-AE, Bldg 4488 2nd Floor, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5000 and ultimately receive AMCOM AED full Air Worthiness Release Certification for the CN-1552( )A and CN-1564( )A gyros. Suppliers capable of manufacturing and delivering these items as specified above must so indicate, by writing to US Army CECOM LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must also include documentation substantiating that the supplier is already a proven source for the CN-1552( )A and CN-1564( )A gyros. This Market Survey does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it guarantee any future contract.
