- The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to negotiate on a sole-source basis with I. Levy & Associates, Inc. 645 Maryville Centre Drive, Suite 200, St. Louis, MO for the continued support of their proprietary software services used at the Federal Disability Determination Services. This software is installed on an IBM Iseries and supports the DDS Disability Claims adjudication process. The Federal DDS uses I. Levy's legacy software to manage disability caseloads. This software allows the Federal DDS to be able to adjudicate disability claims in an efficient and timely manner and continue to provide support to the Federal Reviewing officials. I. Levy & Associates Inc. is the only known source that can provide this required software maintenance support. Interested parties who feel they can provide this annual maintenance may respond by submitting their capability statement via email to Mike.DeAngelis@ssa.gov by 12:00 pm September 22, 2008. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the closing date (September 22, 2008), the SSA will proceed with the sole source negotiations with I. Levy & Associates, Inc. All questions and/or submissions to this notice must be submitted in writing to the email address referenced above. Telephone calls regarding this notice will not be accepted, nor will they be returned. Responses must reference SSA-RFQ-09-1037.
