Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for Airborne Digital Data Recorder VSC-MDR80-R, NSN: 5836-01-527-8751, PN 50570701-302, Digital Data Video Recorder MDR-80C NSN: 5836-01-537-8617, PN 50570701-502, Removable Memory Module NSN: 7045-01-534-4016 PN 50570601-508, Hi8MM Video Recorder NSN: 5836-01-381-8813, PN: V-80AB-F and the Kiowa Adapter Kit NSN: 5340-01-560-9263 PN: 51510001-604. Current source for these units is TEAC Aerospace Technologies Inc Data Recorder Division, cage 3SDT5. The VSC-MDR80-R is part of the AH-64 Helicopter for record and playback of scan convertible mission data in 875 and 525 formats. The Suppliers Airborne Digital Data Recorder System shall be compatible with the Raytheon Photo Telesis STR-403WB. The Removable Memory module shall be compatible with the Airborne Digital Data Recorder System, and shall provide a USB2 connector for direct connection to the mission debrief computer via a commercial USB cable. The Hi-8MM Video Recorder is an analog version of the Digital Video Recorder as mentioned above; and for the Kiowa Adapter Kit used to house the Video recorders, above, on the Kiowa OH-58D Helicopter. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units are not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AN, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that these items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
