- Department of Veterans Affairs; VA Boston Healthcare System, 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301, has a requirement to procure 4 Alternative Design 120 cage Flex Air PI Unit, brand name or equal. It is required that the contractor meets the following requirements: Item description: 4 Alternative Design 120 cage Flex Air PI Unit or similar These units are called Individually ventilated mouse caging. Each unit must hold 120 mouse cages. Each cage has to have its own supply and exhaust air directly to the cage. Because of the individual air supply, Each cage can be treated separately from another cage in the same rack. These cage racks also reduce The allergens that are released into the air when compared to conventional cages, This is a occupational Health issue. 50% of lab animal caretakers end up with rodent allergies and have to leave their jobs. I have attached the quote and the sole source justification. The quote is broken down into many parts Delivery Instructions: Please deliver to Department of Veterans Affairs, Jamaica Plain Campus, 150 South Huntington Street, Boston MA. A fixed price contract is anticipated and will be awarded. The NAICS code for the procurement is 332999 with a standard size in number of employees is 500. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. All concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide a, 4 Alternative Design 120 cage Flex Air PI Unit, brand name or equal, must request a solicitation.
