- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO0 page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative is case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. This requirement is for a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Sargent & Greenleaf Model 833 High Security Padlocks, with a minimum quantity of 1,478 each and a maximum quantity of 7,352 each. The solicitation will be available on or about 15 September 2008 at the following address:http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this contract on a Sole-Source basis to Safemasters Division, 2700 Garfield Avenue, Silver Springs, MD 20910-1843. Safemasters is the only distributor of Sargent and Greenleaf, the manufacturer of this padlock. Numbered Note 22 applies. All changes to the requirements that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued. Interested parties may submit inquiries or request for information by sending an email to terry.hembree@navy.mil. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Reference the above solicitation number when responding to this notice.
