- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is being conducted with commercial procedures as outlined at FAR 12. Solicitation number H92240-08-T-N628 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. This is a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-26. Note #1 applies. FSC: 6150 NAICS: 335999 with a size standard of NTE 500 employees F.O.B. Origin All responsible business may submit a quote that shall be considered. Technical POC: Jim Walters Ph: 619-437-0976 E-Mail:james.walters@navsoc.socom.mil Description: Quantity: One (1) each Tactical power plant that will be able to take existing unstable grid/base input power and produce computer grade stable power. Additionally the power plant system must be capable of providing switchable uninterrupted (UPS) power as required. The unit must be able to address demands for global input and stated output voltages allowing it to deploy anywhere in the world and be used with existing NSW tactical system to include, but not limited to, Special Operations Forces Deployable Node-Medium, Tactical Local Area Network, Tactical Joint Base Station, and 3di SIPERNET Tunneled Over Wide Area Network-Stow. When the Tactical Power Plant is fed from an existing power grid, and that power is lost, the UPS continues to supply power to the load equipment without interruption. Switching needs to be transparent to user of existing NSW Tactical Systems. The Automatic Control System will then start the generator while the equipment continues to operate from the UPS batteries. When the external power returns and remains stable for a preset period of time, the unit automatically transitions to the existing grid source and will shut down the generator. Output voltages should be compatible for 120VAC load equipment. Unit must operate on diesel fuels that are preferred and logistically more readily available to the war fighter in the battlefield environment. Available in transit case versions. Transit case models available with open or closed door operation. Built-in UPS/Power Conditioner cleans up and external source and produces continuous computer grade power to load equipment.
