- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is W9124708T0413, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The HHC, 4th BCT, 82nd ABN Division is seeking proposals for a Firm Fixed Price contract for a Strong Bonds Marriage Retreat in Myrtle Beach, SC. This RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Number 2005-24, effective February 28, 2008. This solicitation is Unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 721110, Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels. Period of performance is for September 26-28, 2008. This requirement is for one hundred (100) rooms for two (2) overnight stays on September 26 and 27, 2008. Check-in time is required at 2:00 p.m. on September 26, 2008. Check out time will be no later than 11:00 a.m. on September 28, 2008. Dinner on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; lunch on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; two (2) breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Meals shall accommodate two hundred (200) adults and eighty (80) children (age breakdown: 0-5: 38 ea; 6-11: 29 ea; 12 & up: 13 ea). Two (2) meeting spaces are required; breakdown as follows: one (1) meeting space to accommodate two hundred (200) participants for the following dates/times: Friday, September 26, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; and Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. One (1) meeting space to accommodate eighty (80) children for the same dates and times as the adult sessions. Audio Visual Package consisting of one (1) podium; one (1) projection screen; one (1) sound system with two (2) wireless microphones, and appropriate extension cords for teaching purposes. The hotel shall provide setup and teardown room and equipment. A refreshment break required for Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Request free, on-site parking for up to one hundred (100) vehicles for the duration of the retreat. (a) The Government will evaluate offers in response to this request and award a purchase order/contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this request, will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors. The following factor shall be used to evaluate offers: (i) price. Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with procedures in FAR 13.106-2(b). A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offers specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.
