Description
Requisition Number: FDA1049399 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seeks full and open competitive quotes for a 10 month maintenance agreement for the following items: 0010: Maintenance Agreement for Peptide Synthesizers, model #433A, serial#3433A0161. 0020: Maintenance Agreement for Peptide Synthesizers, model #433A, serial#3433A0159. 0030: Maintenance Agreement for Peptide Synthesizers, model #433A, serial#3433A0069. 0040: Maintenance Agreement for Peptide Synthesizers, model #433A, serial#3433A0068. Description of item: The Model 433A System, for peptide synthesis, performs Fmoc or tBoc Chemistries for flexibility in deprotection strategy for a variety of chemistry strategies. In order for the Food and Drug Administration to continue their research, the machines above need to have adequate maintenance. This is a REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ). According to the market research conducted by the contract specialist, this equipment appears to be serviceable only from the manufacturer. However, if available from an authorized service dealer that will not void the Government’s warranty or project additional recertification costs, the Government will consider offers from other sources. Sources intending to provide submittals must submit detailed information indicating their ability to meet the Government’s requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry System (CCR) at www.ccr.gov to be considered. Questions must be addressed to Jaclyn Stielper via email at JACLYN.STIELPER@FDA.HHS.GOV no later than 1:00 PM EST on Thursday, 09/25/2008. FDA intends to make an award soon after the response date of this notice and all bids must be submitted via email and be received by 1:00 PM (1300) EST on 1 October 2008 to the attention of Jaclyn Stielper, JACLYN.STIELPER@FDA.HHS.GOV. Although price remains a factor in determining the acceptability of a proposal, the performance, technical experience, approach to a solution, prior experience, and management of overall performance of objectives holds greater importance and shall be used to evaluate proposals. An award will be made based on pricing and aforementioned criterion that offers the best overall value to the Government.
