Period of Performance: October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009. Invoices: Shall be submitted via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) to a WAWF acceptor that will be identified in the resulting contract. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION DFAS has invested a considerable amount of time and money into the design, and subsequent purchase of the listed equipment in order to meet the storage requirements necessary to stay in compliance with DoD directives. Quantum Storage system with Symantec software were first installed at DFAS in 2005. Total acquisition costs for these storage systems are substantial. The Governments requirement is for technical support of storage products, as required to comply with warranty provisions of the software. Consequently, this acquisition is for the renewal of software/hardware maintenance previously purchased, implemented, and currently being used by all DFAS users, is considered to be a logical follow-on in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)2 (ii).
