- Description
- The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for trailers, 3 units, 64 X 24. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price order with Williams Scotsman, located in Louisville, KY. The basis for restricting competition is that the trailers were leased from Williams Scotsman in September 2006 and are delivered, set up, and being utilized as training classrooms. NAICS code for this procurement is 335312 and the small business size standard is $7M. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the Williams Scotsman. Responses are due by 23 September 2008, 4:00 p.m. (CST).
