- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source ProcurementNEXGEN Energy SystemsThe U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland Oregon. intends to award a sole-source fixed-price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to NEXGEN Energy Systems, Inc., for the acquisition of an updated photovoltaic battery system for the powerhouse, (supply and install), on the SE Farallon Islands, 28 miles off the coast of California. Current equipment has been supplied, installed and maintained by NEXGEN, since 1998, and this company has intimate knowledge of the intricacies of this system at this remote off-shore location. The USFWS has decided to award this purchase order as a sole-source acquisition. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USFWS' requirements may submit a response no later than COB on 9/22/08 to be considered.Responses to this posting must submitted in writing via e-mail only. A determination notto compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solelywithin the discretion of the USFWS.
