Page 2 0f 2VA-244-08-RP-0381 Amendment 0002 The following answers are hereby submitted in response to solicitation VA-244-08-RP-0381, CRNA Services: The due date remains September 17, 2008 1. How many Operating rooms will the CRNAs rotate between? - 3 ORs, 1 - 2 Endo rooms 2. How many staff CRNAs are there? 1.0 LVAMC, 2.0 Locums. 3. How many Staff Anesthesiologist are there? - 1.0 LVAMC Anesthesiologist and 1.0 Contracted Anesthesiologist. 4. Will CRNA need to have experience with Cardiac Cases and/or Neurology cases? No 5. Are incumbents currently performing the services envisioned by this RFP? If so, please provide their names and addresses. - Currently provided by Lebanon Anesthesia Associates. 6. Paragraph 2 of the Statement of Work, items "e" and "g" appear to refer to physician qualifications, rather than mid-level/ancillary qualifications. Please clarify.- the statements are pretty clear as written, not sure what you are asking! 7. How many years of experience are required for the CRNA(s)? 2 Will the Government consider board eligible CRNA(s)? Must be board certified. 8. Paragraph I. under "Description of Services" states that "up to 3 FTE CRNAs" are required and that "supplemental or reduction in FTE needs will be coordinated with the contractor 60 days or two months in advance." How many FTE CRNAs are currently required? - LVAMC will be expanding OR hours from 7-3:30 to 7-pm. LVAMC will continue to recruit for permanent staff. Currently LVAMC is operating with 1.0 FTEE permanent and 2.0 FTEE locum/contract. It is anticipated that up to 6.0 FTEE will be required to run extended hours. 9. Paragraph III. Indicates that the CRNAs will be required to provide on-call services. What is the call ratio? Every third week, one week on call from home. How many CRNAs are currently on call rotation? 3 10. Approximately how many cases per day will the CRNA have? 4 - 6 11. What types of cases will the CRNA(s) have? General, Ortho, ENT, Plastics, eye, Plastics, Urology, Endoscopy. 12. Is this a new staffing requirement? - Yes and no, currently is covered by contract, but plan to extend Operating hours to 8pm which will require new/additional staff.
