- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source ProcurementCLS America, Inc.The U.S. fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland Oregon intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1, Other than full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, for the acquisition of services for collection of data from our transponders to multiple satellites owned by CLS. CLS will translate information gathered to readable scientific data, gathered from our Condor Project. The Hopper Mountain NWR, located in Ventura CA. is the requesting office. CLS is the only supplier that USFWS service transponders (at this location) can send to. No Solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response no later than 09/17/2008, by COB to be considered. Responses to this posting must submit in writing via e-mail only. A determination not to compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
