- The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source procurement with Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., Bellevue, WA for the following: 1 EA - Benthos PSA-916D Altimeter, 6000 meter 1 EA - PSA-916 cable, 183 cm (DN32075) 1 EA - PSA-916 mounting kit (SBE 32 1" Dia Ext Stand) 1 EA - SBE 43 - Dissolved Oxygen Sensor w/43-1a 7000 m titanium housing (XSG) connector and 43-2a profiling configuration 1 EA - SBE 171491 - SBE43 interface cable (XSG) connectors 1 EA - SBE 50109 - Pump or SBE 43 DO mount kit 9 plus Items will be delivered to the NOAA, Northeast Fisheries Science Center, 28 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, RI 02882. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in the central contractor registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. For information regarding registration in CCR contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. The FSC is 6640 and the NAICS is 334519. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for this requirement. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302(3)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 17, 2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Responses to this notice, if any, much show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
