- Description
- The Naval Air (NAVAIR) Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to solicit, enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) contract to General Atomics, San Diego, CA. This contract will provide an AAG System to support the United States Navy. The estimated dollar value of this action is $80,000,000.00. Anticipated Contract Award date is October 2009. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated herein is 336413. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. General Atomics is the sole designer/developer and is the only company with the knowledge, experience and access to the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's need within the schedule requirements. Accordingly, General Atomics is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
