- Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Rural Health (ORH) located at 810 Vermont Avenue NW, Washington DC 20420 intends to issue a solicitation VA-101-08-RP-0270 on or about September 12, 2008 for conference and meeting support in the area of rural health policy. The contractor shall: host rural health policy sessions on emerging rural health issues in established forums; host sessions for the Veterans Health Administration Staff; and provide outreach assistance for the VISN Rural Consultants (VRCs) by hosting a quarterly conference call to address issues facing rural providers. The period of performance will be 60 months from the date of award (a base period and four option periods each twelve months in length). The Government intends to award up to two contracts and each contract resulting from the solicitation shall be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for commercial services under which competed, firm-fixed price and/or time and material task orders may be issued. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 12, 2008 and will be made available electronically at this address: www.fedbizopps.gov. Only electronic copies of the solicitation will be available. Proposals will be due no later than 4:00 PM local Washington time September 19, 2008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541611 and the size standard is $7,000,000. The place of performance will be within a 50 mile radius of 810 Vermont Avenue NW, Washington DC 20420 / metro area Washington DC. This is an unrestricted acquisition.
