- A. Subject solicitation W91278-08-T-0054 is hereby amended as follows. 1. The statement of work is changed as follows. This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for providing labor and materials to upgrade the CO2 fire protection system at Allatoona Powerhouse. This is to be accomplished by replacing the current AP-6 valving systems and electric discharge plugs with ANSUL CV-98 valving systems and pneumatic discharge or similar and integrating an agent releasing control unit. The new valving systems shall include safety pressure relief devices; however the contractor shall be responsible for providing all necessary components to make the replacement components work safely with the remainder of the system. The new valving system must maintain a manual release capability. The complete system is not required to meet NFPA 12 requirements. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of removed components. The government shall furnish all necessary utilities. The Government shall perform all electrical wiring up to the control unit. The offeror is responsible for wiring and start-up of control unit. 2. The Bid Items are changed as follows: The following is deleted from the BID ITEMS: Optional bid items for this scope will be to replace the three electric discharge plug controlled discharge heads on System 3 and the one electric discharge plug controlled discharge head on System 4. B. Date of submission changed: The response time is changed as follows, from 16-Sept-2008 to 18-Sept-2008 2:00pm Central Time.
