Description
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is seeking support for the production of clinical-grade retroviral and lentiviral vectors in support of our gene therapy clinical trials. The contractor will have successfully demonstrated ability to produce both types of vector product as well as the ability to perform all the necessary biosafety testing to support an FDA IND submission. The base contract consists of a minimum of one project a year for a period of five years with the option to perform three (3) additional projects. A project is defined as production of a master cell bank and retroviral vector supernatant and the associated biosafety testing or production and biosafety testing of a lentiviral vector generated from a pre-characterized master cell bank. This contract does not allow for any process development. NCI plans to award a single, incrementally funded, cost-reimbursement, completion type contract for a period of five (5) years with three (3) options for increased quantities. The RFP may be accessed through the Office of Acquisitions Home page by using the following Internet address: http://rcb.cancer.gov/rcb-internet/index.jsp on or about September 29, 2008. IT IS THE OFFERORS RESPONSIBILITY TO MONITOR THE ABOVE INTERNET SITE FOR THE RELEASE OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. The NAICS code is 325411. Point of contact is Michael P. Marino; electronic mail address: marinomic@mail.nih.gov fax: 301-402-6699. Collect calls will NOT be accepted.
