Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement is a request for quotes. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ-LMG-263. This RFQ is a small business set aside. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition circular (FAC 2005-18). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, the small-business size is 500. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA)/Intramural Research Program, acquires the following items: Zeiss LSM 710 34-channel spectral confocal system based on axioobserver Z1 inverted microscope with scanning stage and complete environmental control system with accessories.The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Item; FAR 52.212.3 offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contractor Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items; and FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration (CCR). In order to be considered for an award, offeror must have completed the online electronic Representatives and Certifications located at (http://orca.bpn.gov/) in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a). By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR at (www.ccr.gov/) prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation. Offers must be submitted no later than 3:30 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), September 22, 2008 to Ms. Iris Johnson.
