- Description
- The U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) plans to solicit and negotiate soley with NSF International (NSF), 789 N. Dixboro Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48105 to perform contaminant reduction tests on six drinking water treatment units, in accordance with NSF/ANSI 42 and the US EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for Testing Microbiological Water Purifiers (1987). This testing is a continuation and extension of the work performed by NSF on contract W56HZV-08-P-A565. Award will be made on a sole source basis to NSF. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. However, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
