Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for instructor-led design build classroom training and testing prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation will result in a firm fixed price contract. Simplified procurement procedures will be used for this acquisition per FAR Part 13. The NAICS code is 611420. This requirement is for the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, 320 First Street, NW - 5006, Washington, DC 20534. The solicitation number for this effort is RFQ 100-0008-08 and this combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The provisions and clauses incorporated by reference have the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The full text of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) may be accessed on the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. REQUIREMENT: The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting for a one week course scheduled for October 27th through October 31st, 2008 at a Federal installation in Washington, DC. Staff members who are planning to attend will be meeting mandatory Bureau of Prisons COTR core competency requirements. Additionally, the training will meet Design Build Certification Designation requirements and AIA continuing education credit. NUMBER OF STUDENTS 36 Students The requested classes would include: • Design Build Certification Designation • AIA Continuing Education Credit PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance shall be October 27 - 31, 2008. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: On-site training will be conducted at a Federal installation in Washington, DC. The offerors price must include cost of exams. The provision at 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-commercial applies to this solicitation Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror. The clause at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The clause at 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
