- The Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR 97239 intends to award a sole source contract to Compumedics USA, 6605 West WT Harris Blvd., Suite F, Charlotte, NC 28269 to allow purchase of a EEG/EP Neuroscan System (SynAmp 64 Channel) to include the following items:1.Stock #00103820, Curry 6 Multi-Model Neuroimaging System, one each. 2.Stock S2 64, SynAmps EEG/EP Amplifier 64.4.4.2 Channels (64 Monopolar, 4 Bipolar, 2 High Level Analog), one each; includes: a.Stock # 00105150 Package, Headbox, 64 Channel, one each. b.Stock # 00105151 Package, System Unit, one each. c.Stock # 00105152 Package, Power Unit 1000VA, one each. 3.Stock #96050254, SynAmps Quik-Cap Sintered Ag/AgCl, 64 Channel, Small, one each. 4.Stock #96050255, SynAmps Quik-Cap Sintered Ag/AgCl, 64 Channel, Medium, one each. 5.Stock #96050256, SynAmps Quik-Cap Sintered Ag/AgCl, 64 Channel, Large, one each. 6.STIM2 Complete Hardware Solution, Scientific Grade Stimulus Generation Delivery and Control, one each, includes: a.00109001 STIM2 Computer, Complete. b.00109002 STIM2 Software, Complete. c.00109005 STIM2 Hardware, Calibration. To support needed requirements, the SCAN Acquisition software serves as the interface to the SynAmps and NuAmps. SCAN Acquisition provides a multitude of recording options which are saved in unique files that can be recalled for each experiment, ensuring that each individual data set is acquired with the same parameters. The software is straightforward and simple to use. It is intended that the SCAN Analysis software is a comprehensive tool for processing and analyzing EEG and ERP data. Requirements include a programming-based batch processing language, a PCA/ICA filter toolbox and EKG and Blink reduction tools. The sole source acquisition is enacted in accordance with existing authority under FAR 6.302-1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition are 339112 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responsible sources interested in this procurement shall submit on their company letterhead a statement, which contains clear and convincing information identifying their capabilities to provide the service. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in writing no later than 4:30 pm local time, September 15, 2008 to Stan Hockett, via email at Stan.Hockett@va.gov. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing by email. If no responses are received, the VA NW Health Network (VISN 20) will proceed with sole source negotiations with Compumedics USA Inc.
