- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W91WAW-08-T-0143 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The Contracting Center of Excellence, on behalf of the Army Multimedia and Visual and Information Directorate entends to procure the following equipment. Server, Xserve with RAID to include: processors: two 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (8-core); RAM: 4GB (4 x 1GB); RAID Card: On-board SATA/SAS Controller; Hard Drive Bay 1: 73GB SAS ADM @ 15,000-rpm; Hard Drive Bay 2: 300GB SAS ADM @ 15,000-rpm; Hard Drive Bay 3: 300GB SAS ADM @ 15,000-rpm; Optical Drive: 8x SuperDrive DL (DVD+R DL/DVDRW/CD-RW; Video card: ATI Radeon X1300 64MB SDRAM with VGA Adapter; Expansion Slot 1: Dual-channel 4Gb Fibre Channel card with PCI Express x8 riser; Expansion Slot 2: Dual-channel 4Gb Fibre Channel card with PCI Express x16 riser; Power Supply: Dual 750W Power Supplies; Rack Mounting Kit - Threaded Hole Rack; External Storage: Promise VTrak E-Class 16x 750 SATA RAID subsystem (12TB); AppleCare Premium Service & Support Plan for Xserve - Auto Enroll; Shipping included. This procurement will be a 100% Small Businesses Set-a-Side. The NAICS Code is 423430, size standard is 100 Employees. Responses shall be in accordance with the RFQ W91WAW-08-T-0143 CLIN 0001. Delivery of Equipment will be by COB 26 Sep 2008 to the designated addresses in the RFQ. Delivery will be FOB Destination. The following provisions are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (note: as of 1 January 2005, offerors are required to enter their representations and certifications on line at http://orca.bpn.gov); FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items. Contract evaluation and subsequent award shall be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Proposal that demonstrates the ability to maintain all items specified in the Equipment List. The Request for Quote (RFQ) can be obtained from the FedBizOps web page and the CCE Homepage at: http://dccw.hqda.pentagon.mil/rfp/rfp_1.asp, Titled: Korea Network Equipment. Responses to this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation must be signed, dated, and received via electronic mail by 15 September 2008 no later than 1:00PM Eastern Time at the Contracting Center of Excellence, 5200 Army Pentagon, Washington, DC 20310-5200. Responses should be marked with the solicitation number and addressed to Gregory E. Young, Contract Specialist. Vendors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award will not be considered. Vendors may register with CCR by calling 1-800-334-3414 or register on line at http://www.CCR.gov No information, questions concerning this RFQ or request for clarifications will be provided in response to telephone calls.
