- The purpose of this modification is to respond to contractor questions. Question: What percentage of your total printing output will be in color? Answer: Varies according to mission requirements throughout the Command. Question: What the average amount of duty cycle per month output to be? Answer: Varies according to mission requirements throughout the Command. Question: Are you going to except anything other than the request HP products? Answer: Products must brand name or equal according to technical specifications. Technical specifications must be attached for equal. Question: This is regarding the bid for (qty) 300 of HP Color LaserJet 4700DN. Can you, please, give me the shipping address for these items? Answer: Products will be shipped FOB destination according to the solicitation to Peterson AFB CO. Questions: How do we post our terms and conditions? Answer: Contractor's terms and conditions should be submitted as part of the quote. Question: Is this registered as a HP big deal? Answer: Products must brand name or equal according to technical specifications. Technical specifications must be attached for equal. Question: I suppose you know who DAPS is and our support for copiers and multi functional devices (MFD) which are devices connected to the network supporting copy/print/scan and fax if needed. We currently support Peterson AFB, AF Academy, Schriever AFB and Cheyenne Mountain with our copier solutions. So I ask if we could also support Space Command for these requested devices. I would also like to ask why didn't you go through AFWAY and the ITCC for your printer requirement. Answer: The products are not for an Air Force organization; therefore, there is no mandatory requirement for the products to be purchased through AFWAY. The purpose of this modification is to increase the number of printers from 229 to 300 and respond to contractors' questions. Question: I had freight as a separate line item in my original bid. Would you like it included in the price of the printers? Also, do you want the quote on your word document and the other data required in a separate document? We want to comply in all aspects to your request. Answer: Freight/shipping should be included in the price of the item for FOB destination. The table may be inserted into your quote or as a separate document. Question: Do you mind telling me why you no longer want the extended warranty? Answer: The customer's requirement has changed. The purpose of this amendment is to answer contractor questions received in response to solicitation FA2517-08-T-6151, provide an updated itemized listing, and extend the request for quote date to 8 September 2008, 9:00 am MST. Question: On the Justification, HP Part # H3113E was specified which is for two additional years of warranty. Question: On the bid matrix, the warranty was split into two, one year increments. Question: Do you require that the bid price be split into two separate years or will the government accept the combined two additional year warranty? Question: Line item 2 and 3 are each for 1/2 of the extended warranty package which is only sold in complete 2 year increments. Does the Air Force require the price to be split in 1/2 for each lot or just one price for both lots combined? Question: HP 3-year Next-Business-Day onsite Color LaserJet 4650, 4700, HW Support is this okay. Question: Does "lot" mean 229 HP NBD on site hardware services. Question: In the quantity section of line items two and three the quantity reads as 1 LOT. 1 229 EA HP 4700 DN HP Color Laser Jet 4700DN Printer with 12 month warranty 2 1 LOT Option Period 1 Extended Next Day On-Site Hardware Service for 12 months 3 1 LOT Option Period 2 Extended Next Day On-Site Hardware Service for 12 months How many printers are in 1 LOT? Does Period 1 mean months 13 to 24 or does Period 1 run concurrent with the initial 12 month warranty? Does Period 2 mean months 25 to 36 or does Period 2 run months 13 to 24? Answer: The extended onsite warranty has been removed. Please see revised itemized listing reflecting a 12-month standard warranty. Question: Is there another format you require instead of the following table that was attached to the solicitation? Answer: The table must be contained within the quote. Question: Please consider making this an 8(a) Competitive Set Aside. Answer: Our intention is to do competitive acquisition and the dollar value of this acquisition does not allow us to do a competitive acquisition under the 8(a) program. Question: How do we know if we won the award? Answer: Contractor will be notified upon award by email. i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is issued as solicitation, FA2517-08-T-6151. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26. (iv) This acquisition is procured as a small business set aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334119 and the size standard is 1000 employees. A single award will be made as a result of evaluation of quotes. As part of your quote, you are required to fill out the requirements listing as written below mirroring line item, quantity, unit, part number description, price and total extend price information. (v) The commercial items listing is attached. The items are being procured as Brand Name only. You are required to submit your quote using the attached commercial items table, otherwise your quote will be considered nonresponsive. (vi) The commercial items listed are Hewlett Packard Color Laser JET 4700DN printers. (vii) All items listed shall be priced and delivery FOB destination to Peterson AFB, CO and required delivery is 30 days after receipt of order (ARO). (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items.
