- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a 100% small business set-aside basis for Habitability clothes lockers and berths. All habitability items must be in accordance with the shipboard furniture catalog and must meet all habitability requirements. The required habitability berth and lockers are in support of COMSEVENTH Fleet Japan. The Contractor shall provide habitability lockers, berths, mattresses, stowage benches, and a bulletin board. Place of delivery will be determined by the shipping point. The Government will arrange all shipping and pay for all shipping costs from the actual manufacturing site. Material will be trans-shipped via NOLSC at Government expense. Delivery is required to be within 75 days after contract award. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 12 September 2008 with a closing date of 23 September 2008. Proposed contract will be! procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition procedures in accordance with Far Part 12 and 13.5. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-08-T-1160. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible ! for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals is NOT available for this procurement.
