Description
The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Jet Boats Ltd. of Tacoma, WA, for the purchase of one each, 18' River Boat and trailer, with the following specifications: aluminum plate construction, deck construction of Flat 1/8", 5052 aluminum plate floor with "Spandex" non-slip coating, under floor, belly fuel tank, with access panel, 26 gallon capacity, rear center console, with wind-shield, bottom width of 72", bottom gauge: aluminum with forged longitudinal stiffeners all from 3/16" 5056 aluminum, standard dead-rise of 14 degrees with plane shoe for better performance, beam: 90"-wider beam provides more stability for instrumentation equipment and hauling work, Side Height: 28", Inside Freeboard: 26", Side Gauge: 1/8" 5052 Aluminum, Transom Gauge: 3/8" 5056 Aluminum, Top: None, Standard Seating: Three seats, one at console, one in front of console, both with dry storage compartments underneath, one seat (removable), front of boat, no storage. Features are to include the following: Strong 5086 3/16" aluminum bottom and longitudinal stiffeners, windshield on console, flat work table in front of passenger seat (table should be flat with 3 port 12V power supply, location to be determined after hull is manufactured), spindle seat in front of table to have a flush mount on floor and be removable, Port and Starboard 12V power supply (1 per) in gunnel near rear (stern), self-bailing deck which will drain into 18" X 18" sump, automatic electric bilge pump - 2,000 GPH, bow roller for anchor, no paint. Trailer is to have 4,800 lb capacity, off-road heavy duty (needed for hauling equipment in boat to remote locations and unimproved boat launches), single axle, galvanized, welded steel, w/electric brakes, built-in boat bunks and guide on, LED, tail and running lights, spare tire mounted on trailer. A Tacoma, WA area builder is preferred, as additions or repairs may be necessary. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and acpability to respond to the requirement to the Contract Specialist by e-mail (rpaprocki@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in the announcement.
