Description
Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS) is seeking information regarding industry's ability to provide a training capability that allows a Boom Arm operator of the MRAP Buffalo to hone their skills in a simulated environment. The training must focus on individual skills as it pertains to manipulating the arm during IED and suspected-IED interrogation; furthermore, it must also allow the operator to learn how to operate in tandem with the Buffalo vehicle operator as the Boom Arm Operator does not function alone. The Marine Corps already has a MRAP Buffalo vehicle operator driving simulator (USMC-ODS) in use which is procured from FAAC Inc. via contract M67854-07-C-8006. The Boom Arm trainer capability must be able to function as a stand-alone training device within the boundaries of the USMC-ODS architecture and be able to link to the vehicle student training stations for team training evolutions. The Boom Arm tra! iner must reinforce current techniques being taught by the Marine Corps Buffalo licensing authority. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUCTED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES, OR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
