- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Thales Australia Limited, Building 314, Level 1, Garden Island, NSW, Australia, for the acquisition of five battery chargers for the Advanced Acoustic Generator (AAG). The AAG is a water-driven turbine powered acoustic generators that produces ship emulation and can be integrated with any sweep system. This procurement is sole source for the following reasons: (1) The AAG and the battery charger are unique items that are only manufactured by Thales Australia Limited. (2) No other company is authorized to manufacture this equipment. (3) There are no distributors. (4) The AAG and its peripheral equipment are proprietary to Thales Australia Limited. Delivery will be to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407. A firm-fixed-price order is anticipated.The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N61331-08-T-9508. ! Simplified Acquisition Procedures is the method of award for this procurement. The NAICS code is 335912 with SBA size standard of 1000 employees. The order shall be firm fixed priced with an expected delivery date of 30 October 2008. The expected award date is 23 September 2008.In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database. The NSWCPC has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area.
