Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District Contracting Division, Pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(c)(ii)(A) and in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), intends to award a sole source contract to Geokon Inc, 48 Spencer St, Lebanon, NH 03766-1363, in that only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, due to the salient characteristics and the proprietary nature of the equipment and parts. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract under FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is not a request for competitive proposals. The requirement calls for purchase of; Geokon Micro-1000 w/ Model CR1000 measurement and control system, Multi-Logger Software Model 8020 for the Geokon Micro-1000, Geokon 8032 16x4 channel multiplexer for the Micro-1000, and lastly Geokon 8032-5 Multiplexer data cables. Please understand that the United States Army Corps of Engineers- St Paul District dataloggers & multiplexers are predominately Geokon Inc equipment. Competing brand equipment must interface & must be compatible with current on hand equipment. Interested parties are encouraged to submit Statements of Capability for future procurement needs. The Capability Statement shall include at a minimum: like item references, informational brochures, published technical specifications, third party performance verification, company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, type of business (large or small), and point of contact. The Government will not award a contract based on any Statements of Capability received. If you are an interested offeror, please provide a brief Statement of Capability (no more than 10 pages) which demonstrates the ability to meet the requirements specified in the above statement of work, and include any Past Performance information on Government contracts of similar size and scope, if available. Electronic responses are preferred and telephonic requests for information will not be honored. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Information provided will not be used as a part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties are required to submit any information on or before 8:00 AM., Central Standard Time 22 Sep 08 to the attention of Preston Hayward, contract specialist.
