- Description
- NASA/KSC has a requirement for Industrial Automation Equipment for Ground SystemsCommand and Control in support of the Space Shuttle and Constellation Programs. Thisrequirement includes Isolated Input/Output Modules, Analog Input/Output Modules, SensorVibration and HP Powerflex.NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items on a sole-source basis from Rockwell AutomationAllen-Bradley, due to the necessity for compatibility in NASAs Ground Systems Command andControl Architecture, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications (Maximum 2Pages) to perform the effort in writing to Jessica Paglialonga via e-mail or fax notlater than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 23, 2008. Such capabilities/qualificationswill be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete thisproposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
