- The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), Colorado seeks potential sources to perform non-personal service to provide maintenance, repair, test and chemical balance testing of the Swimming Pool and Hot Tub Chlorination System, consisting of a main pool, a wader pool and an in-ground Hot Tub for the Aquatic Center on Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. This solicitation, FA2517-08-R-5007, is open to 100% small business and the Government anticipates soliciting for the award of a performance-based, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Government proposes to use the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of either 561790 - Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings and/or 561990 - All Other Support Services, both have a size standard of $6.5 million. A Request for Proposal (RFP) for this requirement will be issued on or before 24 November 2008. The performance period will consist of one base period plus 9 one-year option periods. There is no guarantee that the option periods will be exercised. The anticipated award date is 1 Apr 2009 subject to the availability of funds. Contractor responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing non-personal services for all personnel, management, tools, supplies (including chemicals), equipment and labor necessary to maintain, repair and chemical balance testing of the Pool and Hot Tub Chlorination System for the Aquatic Center Building 404, on Peterson AFB, Colorado. The Contractor will perform in accordance with all applicable commercial standards established by the industry, federal, state, local and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulatory requirements. Contractor must be certified as a Pool/Spa Operator and have extensive knowledge in maintenance, adjustments, checks and balances and repair the pool chlorination system for three (3) bodies of water at the Aquatic Center on Peterson Air Force Base. Contract award will be based on past-performance price tradeoff, best value to the Air Force.
