- Horsepower shall be approximately 60 HP for a Gas Turbine test engine driving an electric dynamometer or approximately 178 N thrust for a Gas Turbine jet engine. The cutaway model shall be the same model as the operational engine. Both the Gas Turbine test engine and the cutaway model shall be new. Surplus or used equipment IS NOT acceptable. Either a single shaft Gas Turbine representing a jet engine measuring thrust or a multi-shaft engine connected to an electric dynamometer measuring kW or HP is acceptable.
