- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole-source basis to the National Academy of Sciences, 500 5th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001for an effort entitled "Five Series and Operation CROSSROADS Studies." The objective of this effort is to procure veteran mortality data, relating to participants in the Five Series and Operation CROSSROADS studies from the Institute of Medicine-Medical Follow-Up Agency (IOM-MFUA) for use by DTRA's NTPR Program in a follow-up veteran radioepidemiolog study. The Statutory Authority for this non-competitive action is (10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsibile Source and is supported by an approved Justification and Approval. This notice of contract action is not a request for competitive proposals; no formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement.
