Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the renovation and construction of the MALSF (Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Sequenced Flashers) for Runway 19L and an option of the renovation and construction of the MALSR (Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator Lights) for Runway 28L at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), San Francisco, California in accordance with the attached project manual, drawings, and the other terms, conditions, and provisions as set forth within solicitation DTFAAC-08-R-65403. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed-price type construction contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. A site visit will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. PST at the San Francisco International Airport, Terminal 2, Room 714. Please see page 27 of the solicitation (Section 3.2.2.3-63 Site Visit) for directions to the site. Please indicate your intention to attend prior to 2:00 p.m. September 10, 2008 by contacting Contract Specialist, Chris Ekadis at christopher.ekadis@faa.gov. All contractors doing business with the FAA must certify that they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration, www.ccr.gov, at the time of proposal submission. In addition each offeror shall submit a Business Declaration Form, attached, with their proposal. Proposals must be received by the FAA, Bid and Proposal Officer (AMQ-100), 6500 S. MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73169, no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, September 26, 2008. Hand-carried proposals (or proposals sent by overnight delivery) shall be delivered to Room 313 of the Multi-Purpose Building located at 6500 S. MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73169. Proposals must be sealed and labeled as follows: SIR No. DTFAAC-08-R-65403; due 2:00 p.m. CST, September 26, 2008. Hand-delivered responses will need to allow sufficient time to process through security procedures in place at the Aeronautical Center. Overnight delivery of responses to this SIR/RFO could also be impacted if not sent in sufficient time to allow for special mail handling procedures in place at the Aeronautical Center. Any responses received after 2:00 p.m. CST, September 26, 2008, may not be considered in accordance with AMS provision 3.2.2.3-14, Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals of Submittals, incorporated by reference in the solicitation. If all requested information is not furnished, the vendor's response may be determined ineligible. Potential offerors should note that the FAA reserves the right to communicate with one or more offerors at any time during the SIR process. This SIR/RFO is not to be construed as a contract or a commitment of any kind. The Government shall not be liable for payment of any costs attributed to the preparation and submission of proposals.
