- Description
- The US Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for outreach activities and development of the USGS National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center (NCCWSC). This service is known to be available only from The Ecological Society of America (ESA) as the only provider of the service because of their extensive experience working on climate change and wildlife issues relevant to USGS. They know the organizations and contact lists of Non-Government Organizations, academics, and others that have a stake in the success of the National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center. ESA has participated in past Interim Steering Committee meetings and would identify stakeholders, develop a valid agenda, and perform outreach to the community of interest. Because they are also familiar with the NCCWSC work and the USGS mission they can complete this time sensitive work. The USGS is aware of no other source who can provide the above. Therefore, it intends to make an award to The Ecological Society of America (ESA), unless it is contacted by any vendor who believes they can provide the same service. Vendors are invited to contact the Contracting Officer, dbroadwell@usgs.gov, no later than September 17, 2008, 2:00 p.m. with an affirmative answer.
