- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial itesm prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation documentation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 561730. The size standard is $7 mil. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The procurement is a fixed price contract. The scope of work is as follows: Phase I consists of1. removal of 93 hazard trees that have been identified to be removed in three units of the park and2. hazard limb pruning of 10 trees at the Washington's Headquarters Unit,3. hazard limb pruning a tree at the Fort Nonsense Unit, and 4. hazard limb pruning and recabling of 3 trees at the Jockey Hollow Unit.Phase II are unfunded options that may be funded in the future consists ofA. hazard limb pruning of an additional 94 trees in the park andB. removal of an identified 102 hazard trees Of the trees identified for removals & pruning) 201 have a dbh between 0-0.5 meters; 3 trees (removals) have a dbh of 1.0-1.5 meters and 4 removals have a dbh of 1.5-2.0 dbh. (3 trees may require recabling). A site visit will be held on September 15th at 10:00 am EST. Potential vendors will meet with Robert Masson, COR, at the Jockey Hollow Visitor Center. Quotes are due to the contracting officer by close of business September 18, 2008.
