- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the acquisition of a Compact Klystron PowerAmplifier (CKPA). The following features are required: Chamber: 2.45K W SVKY2455B series klystron w/power saver; 8 channels; 85MHz bandwidth per channel;13.75 - 14.5 GHz; 2.1KW RF output; 80dB gain; and 208VAC, 60 Hz, 3-phase with neutral andground. Pre-wired System Cabinet: Standard integrated 19" cabinet; 72"H x 23.2" W x 35.4"D rack; 2 - Hinged removable sidepanels; Bottom plate; Top cover; Blank filler panels; 1 - Front access hinged panel;Installed chassis slides; Lift eyelets on top of cabinet; AC routing cable clamp on topof cabinet; Ground stud on top of cabinet; 1- AC terminal block in the cabinet; AC powercables from terminal block to each amplifier; Output W/G from each amplifier to the topof the cabinet; Input coax cable from the top of the cabinet to each amplifier; and Co-axisolator on amplifier input. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from the Communications and Power Industries, Inc(CPI) pursuant to FAR 13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined tobe reasonably available from only one source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon the date specified. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
