Description: SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: F2XJA38193A001 CPR TRAINING FOR AFROTC ORIENTATION COURSE THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ANNOUNCEMENT; A MARKET SURVEY FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.) PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if there are sources that can supply an existing requirement. We are seeking information to provide an American Heart Association Certified Course for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The course is aligned with the emergency medical requirements and meets the American Heart Association's standards for the basic CPR training. The contractor shall provide the expertise and training for the American Heart Association certified course. The contractor will show a practice DVD and provide each instructor an automated external defibrillator (AED) to be used in the practice exercise. Learning how to use an AED helps reduce death and disability from sudden cardiac arrest. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and automated external defibrillator use are inextricably linked in the sudden cardiac arrest survival chain. Consequently, it is critical all our instructors become certified in this capacity. Please reference the attached Statement of Work for an extended description of the type of services being requested. (2) Type of business, i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, HubZone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc. under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 611699 which contains a size standard $7.0 million.
